![]() ![]() So adding the Novation wouldn't just get you a good MIDI keyboard for playing, but also a new batch of sounds to use. ![]() Honestly I'd focus on the Novation for the simple reason that while you can play both the Maschine and KK separately you'll still encounter a lot of overlap between the two: both use the same NKS library. If you have Komplete installed you can probably test this right now: just fire up "Komplete Kontrol" (it's also available as VST) and check what's available to you. Is this generally worth it 5 years after release I have a Maschine Studio that’s a little dinged up but otherwise perfectly fine - but I’m in a new room where desk space has become a BIG issue. This Control Surface/MIDI Remote Script, providing total integration for Ableton Live 11, was exclusively built for MASCHINE MIKRO MK3, back in March 2021, but compatibility and same functionalities are now available and ready to use for MASCHINE PLUS & MASCHINE MK3, without support for the screens, 8x Encoders, 8x square buttons above the scree. I saw a few items on Amazon that might work but thought Id ask if anyone has any recommendations of something theyve personally used that the Mk3 fits well on. I need to find a decent but not too expensive tripod or on wheels stand so I can reclaim my desk space. ![]() Comparable to what you can do from behind the Maschine next to the Maschine library you can also play pretty much any NKS compatible instrument. Overall though, the Maschine MK3 is excellent. I have the opportunity to buy a legitimate MK3 (confirmed by local big box music instruments store) for 500 CAD / 400 USD. Got myself an Mk3 a couple weeks ago and I absolutely love it. You wouldn't be able to use the Maschine library but would get access to Komplete and any other NKS compatible instruments as well. Regardless, youll likely need to pay for the repair since. I would imagine they will be able to direct you to whoever they use for repair, or they might just act as the go-between, or maybe they even do it themselves. The "Komplete Kontrol" ("KK") keyboards fully utilize the so called NKS standard. The latest loopop video is a review of the new Native Instruments Maschine MK3. Call up whatever local music shop youve got in your area that sells Native Instruments products and explain the same situation. If I had a Native Instruments S-Series Keyboard, could I load sounds to that keyboard separate from whatever sounds are loaded on the Maschine MK3 both utilize the Maschine library? ![]()
